Our concave mirrors are designed exclusively as decorative interior pieces. They are sculptural works intended to enhance your living space with their distinctive reflective form — not for functional use as a dressing or bathroom mirror.

We strongly advise against positioning a concave mirror where it will receive direct, concentrated sunlight. Due to their curved geometry, concave mirrors can focus light to a point, which may generate heat sufficient to ignite nearby materials. Always site the mirror away from windows or skylights where direct sun could strike the reflective surface, and avoid placing flammable objects — fabric, paper, dried flowers — in its focal path. If in doubt, consult a qualified installer before positioning.

Yes. The mirror should always be hung or displayed with the concave (inward-curving) face pointing away from any direct light source. Rotating or tilting the mirror changes where reflected light is directed, so reassess placement whenever you adjust its angle.

Mounting hardware is not included as standard. Each mirror is a bespoke piece; fixing requirements vary by weight, wall type, and finish. We recommend having your mirror installed by a qualified picture hanger or interior fitter using fixings rated to at least twice the mirror’s stated weight. Always follow the fixing manufacturer’s guidance.

These mirrors are suitable for solid masonry, timber-framed, and plasterboard walls provided the correct fixings are used for the wall type and the combined weight of the mirror and any frame. We strongly recommend seeking professional installation advice for walls of uncertain construction or for mirrors over 20 kg.

Concave mirrors work beautifully as statement pieces in entrance halls, living rooms, dining rooms, and corridors — anywhere they are not exposed to direct sunlight and are out of reach of young children. They are not recommended for bathrooms (humidity may affect the finish) or conservatories (high direct-light risk).

Always seek professional advice if: the mirror weighs more than 15 kg; you are unsure of your wall construction; the intended location receives any direct sunlight at any time of day; or the mirror will be installed above head height in a high-traffic area. We cannot accept responsibility for damage or injury arising from improper installation or unsuitable placement.
